Pincushions

Many people confuse Hedgehogs with Porcupines, because both have spikes! Hedgehogs are much smaller than Porcupines, and are actually rodents. Although it is fairly uncommon to see a wild Hedgehog in the United States, in England they are as common as Squirrels, where they are a welcome presence in gardens because they eat unwanted bugs. When a Hedgehog is scared, it will roll itself into a spiky ball, hiding its head in its belly. Although a Hedgehog's spikes may scare off some, their cute little faces and white furry bellies make them loved by many people, and often kept as pets. Beatrix Potter's Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle
and "Sonic the Hedgehog" are a couple of famous Hedgehogs!
