Horsing Around
Throughout history, horses have been viewed as regal and strong, yet pure and prideful. Many made-up mythological creatures were derived from horses. Greek mythology tells of a creature that is half man and half horse, called a Centaur. There is also an animal that is half horse and half Griffin (which is half eagle and half lion), called a Hippogriff. Other creatures include the Unicorn, which is a horse with a single horn on its forehead, and the Pegasus, a winged horse who can be seen plaguing the streets of Dallas, Texas.
